elecampane grows on tall grass green stalks with sun shaped brilliant yellow flowers that stretch their thin golden rays out by the dozens. the root has an intoxicating minty fragrance.
elecampane root contains constituents known to soothe the bronchial tract, while acting as an expectorant to clear wet mucus from the lungs. it is said to calm coughs and relax sore lung passages with soothing immune properties. in addition to it's traditional use for lung wellness, it also contains high quantities of probiotics and other constituents that are said to improve digestion and blood sugar. this herb is traditionally suited to wet, thick coughs and lung issues, and best avoided for dry respiratory issues.
