chickweed tincture

chickweed is a cooling herb, perfect for soothing hot bladders, hormonal shifts, or inflammation. it has a high saponin content which reflects its use in breaking up unwanted matter and smoothing tissue - it has traditionally been used for dissolving cysts, soothing digestive issues, or breaking up infection.

chickweed is antibacterial and cooling - it is said to draw out foreign matter and is traditionally used topically on fresh cuts or wounds to sanitize and soothe.

internally this herb helps with digestion and is said to increase nutrient absorption, break up cysts and act as a good ally for bladders and eyes.

it has also been used long term to prevent allergies and constipation.

this is our first choice herb for cleaning simple wounds in our family.

for wound care, use a dropper to pour the tincture over the wound, being careful not to touch the dropper to the skin. do not rinse. apply salve or a bandage or treat as you otherwise would.

for more long term use for cysts, bladder infection or other concerns, take one dropperful twice a day for as long as needed.
